Hello, the figures provided above are wrong.
The retirement age in:
Punjab
Himachal Pradesh
Haryana
is '58' and not '60'
Data confirmed from respective state govts.
age of employees in all states and UTs must be increased from 58 to 60 years in one go. Age issues is being made in vidhan sabha elections taking advantage it should be stopped and age should be increased keeping in view the increased life span of people in india and living standard, medical facility and good health. In European countires age is 62 years in service.
In 14 States in India & all UTs increased the government employees age from 58 to 60 keeping in view the good health & increased life span of people in India. In this directions Punjab, J&K recently stepped to this direction and had taken half-hearten action. H.P. BJP Government was assuring the the employees on this count but they do not take any action. Forthcoming election in HP will sure affect to some extent and this to some extent can also change the scenario in the HP state.
